What is co-working space?

Co-Working space is simply space for you to work when you work solely from your computer.  It's a place to access high speed internet and work from your laptop, but in the company of others who do the same.  Now, more than ever, we need community to move forward.  How we work has changed.  Even though co-working spaces have been around a while, they are now an alternative for more people.  You may not be "in the office" anymore, but you don't have to remove yourself from society or set up shop in the broom closet.

We have room for you.

How do I access the space?

Usually, the doors to Banker's Hours Co-Working are locked unless there is a special event.  As a member, (or even if you are renting meeting space), you'll have an app on your phone that will unlock the doors for you.  Depending on your membership level, you can have as much as 24/7 access 7 days a week.  Don't worry, when you join, we'll walk you through the process and show you how to

use the app.

Where do I park?

There is a small parking lot to the right of the building.  If there's space available, you may park there. Downtown Marshall also has on street parking and an additional community parking lot across from MadCo Brewing Company.

Has the bank ever been robbed?

Thankfully, the downtown Marshall location of the Bank of the French Broad has not ever been robbed.  However, the Weaverville location was robbed!!  Here's a great story full of kidnapping, impersonations, escape and intrigue!

What's the history of the building?

Glad you asked!  You can check out The National Registry of Historic Places for more info.

Can I work from the rooftop terrace?

Yes you can.  There's a sofa, chairs, and table for our members.  Not to mention, the great view and inspiration. (The rooftop terrace is only accessible during business hours M-F.  You enter through the side door (facing the parking lot).  Take the elevator to the 3rd floor, go to the right and through the door, you'll see the steps leading outside.

What are phone booths in co-working spaces?

Phones booths are small rooms dedicated to phone  conversations.  In co-working spaces, it's common courtesy to keep phone calls to a minimum in the open/common spaces.  If you need to take longer calls from time to time, simply use a phone booth.  If you need to take regular calls like team calls, dedicated space (like our office shares) may be more appropriate.

Do you offer corporate memberships?

Yes.  Simply use the button below to send a request for more info and we'll send you the details.
